Ockham’s very first Cantus!

On Friday the 16th of December, H.V. Ockham organised their very first cantus! With help of the 9th board, 14th board had taken up the initiative of organising this activity after members had expressed their interest. Idwer and Luuk, secretary and internal affairs of the 9th board, formed the praesidium of the cantus. At 19:30 sharp, the participants were invited into Beneden Peil (special thanks to the BorrelCie of ConcepT!) by the schachten (‘guards’ of the cantus). Then, the praesidium of the cantus was welcomed into the room with the loud (and slightly out of key) singing of the io vivat by all the participants. During the cantus, multiple historic events were highlighted and discussed among the members of the praesidium and corona. The pedellen of the constitution drink were thanked by the rest of the participants, the DriCie members received a medal of honour for their services, and the two DHC board members of the audience got the opportunity to form an even closer bond. It was nice to see so many new and old faces at the cantus and it is safe to say that everyone enjoyed themselves a lot! We are already looking forward to a potential next edition.
