Creathon
Are you ready for a day full of challenges and innovative business? On the 14th and 15th of May you will work in a creathon together with companies within the Koolen Industries network on their challenges. So the theme for this event is: Energizing the Future!
In a creathon (a hackathon on creativity) you work in your team one day together on a challenge from a company to come up with an innovative business idea. For example, think of inventing new products or services. The yield of each team is a developed business idea, which you will pitch as a team to the challenge providers and a jury. Teams consist of 5 students. There will also be another group of 50 Advanced Technology students and 2 other groups. To give you a good start at the Creathon there will be all kinds of workshops and inspirational sessions on the 14th of May in the afternoon. This will all take place on the campus of the University of Twente.
All the costs are covered (lunch, dinner and participation costs etc.)

Fraunhofer Tour
Interested in making things on an advanced level. Take the chance to visit the Fraunhofer Innovation Platform for Advanced Manufacturing. Studium Generale: Lingen Excursion
Have you heard about the energy transition in Lingen, a German town in lower Saxony? ☢
While 2 nuclear power plants being shut down, in order to supply electricity to the town, a gas-power plant has been built. For the future a hydrogen-power plant is being constructed. To see how this energy transition is going, join the excursion organised by Studium Generale, in cooperation with Ockham and KIVI Students Twente!
On 21st of November, a former nuclear power plant operator, Bodo Schlünzen will explain what it takes to dismantle a nuclear-power plant, and will take you through the gas and hydrogen power plants in Lingen! If you are interested and want more information on the event, click on the link below ☺

As the days darken and the nights become longer, it's important to stay in touch with how you are feeling, which is why SympCie is proud to announce their participation in the Well-being weeks with a lunch lecture about mental health on the 20th of November The university's own Thomas van Rompay has researched the effects of environments on wellbeing and has sacrificed his precious lunch to tell us about it so thank him and yourself with your participation :) Also, there will be lunch.
