Lunch Lecture by Prof. Dr. Joost Kok

Prof. Dr. Joost Kok is the dean of the Honours Programme and the dean of the Faculty Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science.

The presentation will explore the power of data, focusing on the theory of Minimal Description Length, collecting data through Citizen Science, combining different data using ontologies and encryption, and practical applications in sports and biodiversity. Through a discussion of these concepts, a deeper understanding of how data can be harnessed to unlock new insights in a wide range of fields is obtained.
