Droughts are occurring more frequently due to climate change. Deserts are becoming vaster than ever thus endangering the lives of millions of people. One solution is to be able to make water in dry places. Ir. Ap Verheggen is an inventor who realized a machine which produces water by using condensation. After years of trying and with help of general Tom Middendorp he succeeded in his quest for water in the desert. His SunGlacier-technology provided water for the Netherlands Pavilion (World Expo 2020, Dubai), for which Marjan van Aubel designed the solar panels.
