Ice Cream Flavours Board Should Stock
Summertime is here and the people of Ockham are craving ice cream. Fortunately, Enschede is blessed with many an ice cream parlour, but it’s a bit hard for Ockham members to gather around them and socialise when they are so far away from campus. This, therefore, is a plea for help towards the board of Ockham to restock on ice cream in the Ockham Room Cookie Corner, as summertime has got us all wishing for a sweet relief from this heat. Hereby are my suggestions for ice cream flavours the board should get:
Chocolate ice cream
Chocolate is the bread and butter of ice cream: you simply cannot go wrong with it. Dark chocolate, light chocolate, white chocolate, chocolate with fruits – I implore the board to rethink their decision in only stocking fruity flavours and getting something that actually tastes good.
Mint ice cream
Mint is adored throughout the members of Ockham. It’s perfect for the summer: breathy, delicious, and refreshing. I, for one, would be extremely jubilant if a tub or two of mint ice cream were stocked in the freezer, with cones perhaps off to the side. I am aware that this is not realistic, but if you care at all about the association, board, please make this happen.
Cookies and Cream/Oreo
If chocolate is the bread and butter, then cookies and cream are the peanut butter and jam of ice cream. We already stock Oreos (occasionally), so why doesn’t the board take the extra jump and stock Oreo ice cream in addition? Oreo ice cream is adored throughout the UT (I would know), and you would get throngs of people thronging outside the throngroom.
Melona
Melona is a classic and should make a comeback. However, I have received information that only the ‘melon’ flavour of Melona (the green ice cream) is revered throughout, and the mango flavour leaves much to be desired. Disregard what was said earlier about fruity ice cream; melon favour is perfect for the searing summer sun.
Whatever the board wants
Thank you board for stocking ice cream in the first place. We as the community are grateful for this contribution and addition to the cookie corner, and would welcome any new flavour of ice cream that is available.
