Taart Review: February
Well, we can say that PubliCie members were not too active in the last month…. But that’s not a bad thing! Thanks to that, we got to enjoy many taarts this month! Let’s go through them, shall we?
Sprinkled Jam and Butter Cake
Who doesn’t love a taart from Hema? This is one of the better-made ones, with the traditional cake shape, frosting, and sprinkles. There’s a layer of strawberry jam and buttercream between the layers of cake, which makes the taste explode in your mouth. Great presentation, and definitely what you would think of when you hear the word cake.
Is it a taart? Absolutely.
Was it tasty? Quite!

Banana Bread Cake
This one, made by Venise was an amazing addition to the taart hall of fame. Banana bread has always been a classic, so props on bringing back a long-loved flavour. If Hammy were alive, they’d probably be salivating over the cake by now. I know I was.
Was it a taart? Yes.
Was it tasty? Delicious.

Valentines Day Cake
A sweet, simple taart to go in line with the most romantic day of the year – plus a rather disturbing image of Hammy (Hammies?) kissing themselves, as only one Hammy exists, thank you very much. Upon eating it, the taste was sweet and full of white chocolate: perfect for Valentine’s Day.
Was it a taart? Not traditionally
Was it tasty? Quite.

Monchoutaart
Delectable, delicious, and so very red, this cake – made by our very own chairwoman, Marit – was presented right after the spring break. Hammy looks on in awe, their eyes basking in the sea of cherries before them, and is probably thinking about the massive layer of Biscoff crumble that we, PubliCie, had the pleasure of discovering after taking a bite.
Was it a taart? Definitely
Was it tasty? Very!
