The Introduction Activity 2023

On the 1st of February, the intro activity for the new Honours cohort took place.

The activities were full of puzzles, walking, photos, and drinks. Hard puzzles and challenges? Most likely they were, however, as honours students we aim for challenges that improve our UT experience. At the end of the activity, a lot of the new cohort students joined us in the Technobar for some drinks; it was really nice to see all of you having a conversation with your fellow students and some of you (later on the drink) playing the mythical stress-pong (thanks the DriCie and the Board for some of the free drinks).

Honours activities are always fun and this one was no exception; therefore, feel free to join more of our H.V. Ockham activities, also feel free to invite your fellow students that missed the great experience of the intro activity. See you around in the Ockham Room.

With the exam weeks finally (almost) over, it was time for the new bachelor honours students to meet their peers!

On Wednesday the 1st of February, a puzzle hunt through Technohal was set up by the ACCIE for the new cohort to enjoy, with all kinds of challenges - from solving difficult riddles, to recognising ‘impostor’ AI-generated art among real images, to a ridiculous pub quiz. After the introduction by the dean of the honours programme and the board, the students were split into groups and got to work on the (sometimes mystifying) puzzles. After most groups had finished the hunt, the DriCie had set up the Technobar for a drink. It was cool to see that so many people stayed there until late! We hope that the intro activity was a nice way to kick start the new cohort’s honours programme and we hope to see many of you around during the upcoming activities.
